About Our TB Care Program
The TB team of ID CARE has been specially trained in the treatment of Tuberculosis (TB) and latent TB infections. The TB Care Program utilizes the most modern diagnostic, treatment and prevention programs available. The TB Care Program clinicians not only care for patients but are also actively involved with the advancement of new and innovative treatment options. The TB Care Program staff communicate with our patients, helping them to better understand their illness and treatment plans.
Our Team provides comprehensive testing, treatment and emotional support including:
- Comprehensive TB patient evaluation, testing, and treatment
- Tuberculosis skin testing
- Case management from diagnosis to cure
- Medical management of laboratory findings and new treatment modalities and medications
- Entry into directly observed therapy programs (DOT)
- Access to drug trials, investigational pharmaceutical programs, and low and no cost pharmaceutical programs
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate medical and community based programs
- Access to behavioral health professionals for assessment and referrals for additional treatments
- Social services utilizing community resources
- Education and training services
